Ditte K. Gade

Deedee has been an illustrator and animator for years, working on everything from computer games to classical animation at Cartoon Network. She was educated at the Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark.

Though she works on art across all genres, she has found a special love for old-fashioned childrens’ book illustrations.

“Ever since I was a child I have been drawing, painting, acting and playing music with all of my heart. And I knew that someday I had to end up becoming a professional artist.

After highschool I entered the Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark - a school of high class animation. At the high level school I was taught by the best animators from Disney, Dreamworks, Pixar etc. And that lead me to an internship at Cartoon Network in London, UK.

I have been animating 2D and 3D – computer games as well as classical animation.

During my student time and the time following I have gained experience by illustrating as I have illustrated a couple of books, several magazines, logos etc.

Now I work full time as an animator, and in my sparetime I work with illustrations that range over a lot of different genres. However, I have found a special place in making old fashioned drawings for childrens’ books as I know that that is the place you'll always be allowed to dream.”
